DicksnJanes #120: friendship
Moonface photo compliments of Gary
The Scarborough Dude gives an extended emotional Sunday sermon on the value of friendship and spontaneity.
Music:
Help! - The Beatles - Help
Listen to Broca's Area eh! And help Bring Da King!!
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!
When the Scarborough Dude recommends getting drunk once a month as being therapeutic (and even enlightening), he is talking only to those who are responsible and good natured drunks; not those who drive, start fights and beat their spouses and children. If you are in the latter group, please find another form of therapy - ASAP.

Can't wait to hear this one, though it has not hit iTunes yet.
Hmmm, looks like my iTunes feed is sick- maybe Apple doesn't like my attitude.
OOps! Looks like I left off a new tag 'item' on my xml file - sorry!!
Very Nice episode dude. I like the idea that friends are out there, you just have to find them. It is hard say past the age of 30, as Seinfeld once said, you aren't interviewing, the positions are all filled already....
Thanks Dave. I really do think it's amazing how many possibilities for friendship podcasting opens up for anyone who wants to make the investment.
It's amazing how similar we are dude. Great episode man. I miss hitting the Danforth for late night binges with my crew back home in T.O.
Years ago we would shut down the Black Swan. Then later at a number of greek joints around Pape.
Nowadays I never miss an opportunity to hit Dora Keogh's on a Sunday or Thursday night for traditional Irish music. Love those sessions.
I miss my friends at home. I miss my friends in Ireland. I miss the PAB gang too. Now I'm busy making new ones in Nashville.
We'll always have The Merchant friend :-) I look forward to that again buddy.
Cheers,
Dave
Anonymous? No...this is Gary. For the life of me, can't remember my Blogger account and too lazy to bother with another. The more I listen to this episode, it makes me laugh. You were so excited and all over the place. I think that is great. I agree with Dave about what he said about "positions being filled already." But, if you approach people with a positive nature, generally, you attract. I think many people find themselves not finding or experiencing fun times like we did that weekend, because they convince themselves they either can't be bothered, or their butt is strangely comfortable in a small hole and treat it like it is the grand canyon or something. What the hell am I talking about anyway? I don't know, ....back to my Tim Hortons coffee....looking forward to the next episode Dude....
I love that comment Gary- must be a Gary original, although it also sounds like something my good friend Holden Caufield from Catcher in the Rye might have said: "their butt is strangely comfortable in a small hole and treat it like it is the grand canyon or something." That's hilarious!
Anyway, just like a good old dump, I can feel another podcast coming on- uuuugggggggghhhhhhhhh..... hang on..... it's coming.....
Dude! This was an amazing episode. Great stuff. I'm still here. Still listening.
