I don't know how often you listen back to shows before you post them (or after, for that matter) but I REALLY hope the irony of the first couple of segments in this show wasn't lost on you....
IIRC, the podcast begins with you fretting about needing to be more structured about the content (needing to use notes and to have a goal or subject in mind when recording). You were in the Scarborough Civic Centre lot, I think. The clip kind of fizzles out.
Then there's this terrific bit that comes on right after that where you've been offered the parking voucher from complete strangers. The couple happen to be (apparently) Muslims. The clip is wonderful for so many reasons - suddenly your voice is alive and enthusiastic, and there is the fact that you've had your issues with (not quite the right word, but you know what I mean) Muslims over the past couple of years). The sheer spontaneity and randomness of that clip, along the self-referential connectedness (a la our discussion of the Beatles) is what makes me keep coming back to listen to DnJ.
Anyway, I once again quite enjoyed this episode. Thanks for the kind words in the episode, but more importantly, thanks for waiting with me for my jury to come back, and - like I said on Twitter - thanks for doing most of the talking!
