Some thoughts on motorhomes.
In the summer you have to have AC or you die sweltering in heat and you can't sleep at night.
I have a neighbor who owns one of those small buses that costs a quarter million bucks. He spends about 6 grand a year for storage and maintenance and that's before he gets on the road for a three week trip every year and that's another 6 grand for gas and food and stall rentals.
You might consider renting instead of ownership. No storage, no insurance, no maintenance. Always clean and available.
For 12 grand you could take a month long all inclusive Mediterranean cruise airfare included.
Ya, I think that ship has already sailed - without me. Storage costs a huge factor, and maintenance, which is not my strong point, and then overall coats of purchase. For sure renting the only way to go, and even then, motels might be cheaper in the long run. That said, another pamphlet came in today's mail, and dam those new models sure look great! Maybe more of a lottery winners dream...
Hi Dude!!!! Yes, I'm still listening from Vancouver Island! We spent our Thanksgiving in Tofino on the West Coast cooking our little turkey over the fire during a beautiful sunny weekend on the beach!
Get that RV, Dude, you will never regret it, my folks just recently bought a little motorhome and enjoyed every weekend this past summer at a little local campground on the beach getting clams and oysters and soaking up the sun from their lawnchairs :)
Keep up the podcasting, Dude,
Take care! Cheers,
Christine
