A guest spot on Molar Radio- now that is exciting! No shit, I'd be right up there with Zanta! I'll call for sure Chris - also wanna see what a 'real' podcasting setup looks like.

That was a great podcast as always, Dude. See you next week! hahaha

But seriously, I really did enjoy it and I hope the guilt of all we listeners does get to you before long, or at least the pull of the thing you love getting to you before long and bringing you back to us. Cheers, SD.

If I put aside my own selfishness I'm really glad you're taking a break. I don't recall ever hearing someone so happy to be saying goodbye, the relief in your voice was palpable. Podcasting has obviously served its purpose in your life for the moment and you'll no doubt return to at the appropriate time. Having said that, I'm not sure that gardening is the right replacement but have fun trying. Enjoy your journey with your family and stop to pick up us passengers when your ready.

good riddance.

don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Click: the sound of putting the latch on the door.

Now, what am I going to do while having my Sunday coffee? Back to Coronation Street, I guess.

There was a young fellow named Dude
Who lived a life most rude!
He spoke from the heart
and then he would fart
That lewd young fellow named Dude.

Enjoy the summer, Skippy.

As Wizzie so aptly said re.following you down a sideroad..quite the trip, you have been honest, even when it was raw and painful. You have connected with a lot of people. After some thought, I think the horticulture idea is brilliant. I can picture you wandering about on your walks, a Johnny Appleseed, with seed packet in your shirt pocket,a bit of a scoundrel, annoying the gardner at Thompson Park graveyard..."who planted those forget-me not seeds at that gravesite!" Poppy seeds.. The imagination goes on...but...wish you a peaceful summer. Take care eh!

Hey Scarborough Dude, I don't know if I am the Keith you mentioned on your last show but I wanted to drop a line anyway. It's been a wild journey, rollercoaster ride. A veritable slice of Canadiana. Enjoy your summer break, and come back fresh in the fall. Take it easy!

The background sounds on your podcasts have been fascinating. Why not grab some sounds during your summer break. If you don't say anything, surely your Guru wouldn't complain! The reportage style podcast when you visited his house was the most interesting of the dozen or so I've listened to so far. Enjoy your hols.

P.S. Anyone who can use the words "dude" "bloody" and "eh?" in the same sentence must be worth listening to!

Hey Keith - of course I meant you! Just hadn't heard from you in a while, and wanted to be sure you weren't run over by a truck! I'm still grateful for all the encouragement you gave along the way - it sure helps - and the music! Back at ya in the fall eh!

Scarborough Dude, I have this vision of you outside, dirt on your hands, a beer by your side, sun shining down on your back - mellow and happy. I hope that's how your summer goes.

As for the anonymous poster below - too bad you don't just stop listening if you don't like the show. If issuing such blatently self-indulgent and hurtful words makes YOU feel good... best of luck.

Now go away.

Hello from England. I've only just subscribed and really enjoyed your ramblings.

Take as long as you need and enjoy the summer.

It's weird to feel part of a tiny, but global, community that listens to you. I'm glad I subscribed - thanks to Dave from Chub Creek.

First time listener, first time commenter (here).

Let me tell ya, Scarborough Dude, you had me at "Shut the fuck up!"

I was on my bike last night, and listening to my first episode of yours, the beginning of your summer hiatus. Now I'm completely hooked, and I'll spend the rest of your hiatus going through all the old podcasts and listening to them ALL.

Thanks for podcasting. It makes me really want to be Canadian (or at least move there, since my government sucks a big fat one right now). Have yourself a great summer, and crack open a few cold ones for me. :)
